SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- FEBRUARY 12, 2019: Sioux City Fire Rescue is releasing more details about a fire in a vacant duplex on the West Side late Saturday night.
Firefighters now confirming they had to evacuate residents from a neighboring home for 4 hours while they fought that fire.
The exact cause of the fire in the duplex is still under investigation.
Sioux City officials have red-tagged that home due to the damage it sustained.
FEBRUARY 10, 2019: As the snow started to fall overnight, Sioux City Fire Rescue spent hours fighting a major fire at a vacant home.
That fire broke out around 11:30 Saturday night at this vacant duplex on the 100 block of Bluff Street.
Fire crews were on scene well in to the night as the fire re-ignited.
At one point, flames could be seen billowing from the roof of the home.
The home has been red-tagged and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
