Local teen sentenced to 10 years in prison for robbery of two Kum N Go stores
The local teen charged with robbing two local Kum and Go stores in December is heading to prison.
18 year-old Devon Simons of South Sioux City received a 10 year sentence today after pleading guilty to second degree robbery in Woodbury County.
Prosecutors believe after robbing a Kum and Go in South Sioux City he came to the store on Gordon Drive and got away with $960 in cash and 13 packs of cigarettes after showing a gun to the clerk.
Police caught him outside the Kum and Go on Hamilton Boulevard a couple hours later.
This plea only covers the charge in Iowa.
His case is still pending in Nebraska.
