SIOUX CITY, IA -- The second man arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery on the Northside earlier this year is going to prison.
27-year-old Elim Escobar-Alvira plead guilty Thursday morning in Woodbury County district court to charges of second-degree robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
As a part of his plea, he accepted a sentence of 15 years in prison.
His accomplice, 24-year-old Inmar Hernandez, pleaded guilty last month to charges of second-degree robbery and going armed with intent.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
