Omaha tech entrepreneur talks startups at "Business for Breakfast" event
Sioux City's Economic Development Department brought in a Midwestern entrepreneur to its latest "Business for Breakfast" event.
Dusty Davidson, the Co-Founder and CEO of Omaha web hosting company Flywheel, talked about starting and growing a tech company in the area, calling the Midwest an "untapped market" for certain types of tech.
"I think the Midwest is primarily known for agriculture and traditional businesses. You look at Silicone valley as a place where there is technology happening. There is great technology companies everywhere, and the Silicone prairie is no different," said Davidson.
Sioux City's Economic Development Department partnered with Iowa's West Coast Initiative for Wednesday morning's free event.
