One Siouxland family finally has a place to call home
It's taken over a year to build but one Siouxland family now has a house they can call home.
Habitat for Humanity held a dedication ceremony for the Castellanos Family's home.
Several members of the community volunteered their time and resources toward the construction and Habitat's Executive Director Katie Roberts says every one has been looking forward to this day.
Katie Roberts, executive director for Siouxland Habitat for Humanity told us that "It's relieving but it's also very exciting, especially for the family. They've been working very hard, they've been really excited to move into their new home and begin their new life."
Several members of the Siouxland community attended today's dedication and then were treated to a tour of the home that so many people helped build.
After construction, the house is currently appraised at around $135,000.
