Palmer's Candy is celebrating it's 140th anniversary

Palmer Candy is the oldest candy store in the United States that is owned by the founding family.

It's known for its array of sweet treats especially their chewy, cherry-flavored nougats coated with a mixture of peanuts and chocolate, the Bing.

"140 is kind of an odd time to celebrate. You usually do 125, 150 and so forth. But we just figured let's stand up and be proud of it and have a fun day," said Manager John Sadler

Friday and Saturday they're giving out a free Bing to anyone who stops by.

You can also register for prizes to win a box of Twin Bings each month for a year.
