Pier Center for Autism hosts biggest fundraising event of the year
It's a fundraising event that helps out the only Autism Center in Siouxland.
The event called Derby and Dreams at the Sioux City Country Club had some people wearing their derby hats and bow ties.
The main highlights were the best hat contest, a mascot scramble, and a photo booth. It was all about good fashion, good music, and some good fun for a good cause.
"To know that we have all these people here to support us this is our biggest event ever, 225 people this year. Just wonderful to have such huge community support meeting the needs of families with autism here in Sioux City and the greater Siouxland," said Director of the Pier Center for Autism, Sean Peterson.
