SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- After months of work, reconstruction on a large section of Pierce Street on the northside of Sioux City is officially complete.
Wednesday evening, members of the Sioux City's Chamber of Commerce helped cut the ribbon on the finished project that runs from 24th to 29th Street.
The work included redesigning the street in front of Unity Point Health - St. Luke's to add parking that's closer to the front of the hospital.
New sidewalks, new lighting, new landscaping and some colored pavement were also added.
The cost of the project was about $3.7 million dollars.
