UPDATE: Death of Le Mars man ruled accidental
Update 2/12/2018: Then Plymouth County Sheriff is releasing the toxicology report on John Koley, 57, of Le Mars, who was found dead inside his home in December.
The report says the cause of death was Acute Drug Intoxication and the manner of death was ruled Accidental.
The Plymouth County Sheriff and investigators are focusing their attention to finishing a forensic examination on computer and surveillance equipment seized from the home.
Koley man was discovered on the kitchen floor of his home on Highway 3 in Le Mars last December.
The State of Iowa Medical Examiner's Office released the preliminary results of the autopsy of John Peter Koley of Le Mars, who was found dead in home Wednesday night.
There was no evidence of blunt force trauma, gunshot or knife wounds.
The cause and manner of death is pending waiting for toxicology results.
The Medical Examiner said those results will be known in 10-14 days.
The Plymouth/Woodbury County crime scene team did finish processing the residence late yesterday.
The Plymouth County Sheriff is still continuing to treat the death as suspicious and continues to follow up on information that has been received.
The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office is investigating the suspicious death of man in Le Mars.
The man was discovered on the kitchen floor of the home on Highway 3 last night by his son.
The man is being identified as John Peters Koley, 57, of Le Mars.
The Sheriff says the man could have been deceased for a couple of days.
The crime scene investigation unit from Woodbury County has arrived on scene to begin processing potential evidence.
The death of Koley is being investigated as suspicious, but the Sheriff is not ruling out homicide, suicide, accidental and natural causes.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
