UPDATE: Police make arrest in Morningside drive-by shooting
UPDATE: Sioux City Police have made an arrest in a drive by shooting from early yesterday on the 5100 block of Lorraine Ave in Morningside.
Caleb Harding , 18, of Sioux City was taken into custody on Tuesday after being stopped for texting and driving.
Court documents say on Monday, Harding conspired with an accomplice to shoot at a residence to invoke fear in an individual that they were feuding with.
Harding, the accomplice and two others drove past the victims residence to canvass the area and then drove past again and shot at the residence, hitting it multiple times and causing bullets to go through the windows, siding and doors.
Bullets also traveled through the interior of the residence and lodged themselves in different locations of the home.
Documents also say that no one was hit by any of the bullets, but the house was occupied by 4 subjects when the residence was shot.
The guns used were located and both were 9mm caliber handguns, and both were loaded with rounds that had casings that matched casings found at the scene.
Harding is currently in the Woodbury County Jail charged with: Intimidation with a weapon, going armed with intent, carrying dangerous weapon, improper rear lamps, and several drug charges.
His bond was set at $150,000.
Sioux City Police responded to a call for shots fired just after 2:00 am this morning on the 5100 block of Lorraine ave.
Several rounds of ammunition were shot at the home.
No injuries were reported.
Police continue to look for the suspects.
