Pursuit through three states ends in Sioux City

A pursuit through three states this afternoon has ended in Sioux City's Northside.

Four people are in custody following a multi state pursuit.

The vehicle they were in was stolen, but none of the arrested are linked to the actual theft of the car which happened at 12:30 a.m. Friday at 18th and Grandview.

The victim told police he was at a friends house dropping something off when a man and two women approached him, the man displayed a gun and told him to exit the car. The suspect and two females then left in the stolen vehicle. Police say the victim was not injured.

This afternoon shortly after 3:00 p.m., an undercover officer spotted the stolen vehicle and followed it until officers in North Sioux City attempted to stop it.

The driver, now identified as 25-year-old Kenneth Azure of Le Mars, refused to stop and led officers on a chase from North Sioux, to Sioux City into South Sioux City and then back over to Sioux City where officers were able to deploy stop sticks.

Azure continued driving on bare rims and lost control in the 2000 block of Wall Street where he hit a snow bank.

Azure is facing Theft and Felony Eluding charges.

Three others in the car are also facing charges.

21-year-old Angela Zavala of Sioux City, is charged with Theft 2nd.

21 year-old Rumor Schiltz of Sioux City is charged with simple eluding.

30-year-old Duane Twite of Sioux City, is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
