Sioux City's Lion's Club Chapter shows their commitment to the Siouxland community
Sioux City's chapter of the Lion's Club donated several thousand dollars to Siouxland Organizations.
More than 10 organizations received checks ranging from $1,000 up to $25,000 from the Lion's Club.
A total of $28,000 was given out amongst the organizations, something the Lion's Club says they enjoy being apart of.
Ann Hill stated, "It's just so great to see for those particular organizations. We just enjoy seeing the kid's faces cause some of them we do see the actual recipients of the money and knowing that we helped in Sioux City."
And one spokesperson from the Center of Siouxland who received a donation says the money really helps with the Center's ability to reach more people.
"We would be limited on the amount of people that we could help and assist if we didn't have these funds cause we only have so much money, we allocate that throughout the years, so we wouldn't be able to serve as many people as we do," said Jonette Spurlock.
Since 1917, Lion's Clubs around the world have aided the blind and visually impaired and made a strong commitment to community service and serving youth.
