Store owner fires warning shot at burglars

A South Sioux City business owned fired a warning shot at some burglars last night, and now police are looking for those suspects.

The attempted burglary happened just around 9:30 p.m. last night at Maria's Fashions and Grocery on Dakota Avenue.

Police say at least two men attempted to break in and activated an alarm trying to get into the business.

The store owner tried to chase them down and fired a warning shot in to the air to scare them.

The incident remains under investigation.
