TreePans.com of Akron wins statewide small business award

SIOUX CITY, Ia — A Northwest Iowa small business is being recognized for its hard work.

TreePans.com of Akron has been in business for a little over two years, selling a device that protects young trees and helps them grow faster.

Today, they were recognized as the SB DC Iowa Business of the Month in a ceremony at Western Iowa Tech Community College.

"This award is kind of an indication of all the hard work we put in. It's also a validation of the support we've gotten from Todd, and the SB DC here in Sioux City and the Western Iowa Tech. It's another check that things are on the right road and things are going well," said vice president of TreePans.com William Brown.
