Truck drivers give back to fight cancer

Commercial truck drivers are making a contribution to the fight against cancer tonight.

The group "Commercial Chaos for a Cure" donated $20,000 raised from its annual poker run and raffle to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City this afternoon.

The group's founder was a patient at the center and says its his way of giving back.

Paul Schelling said, "It means a lot, a real lot. See people in there everyday that are in pain, you know if we can help get equipment that's going to better serve their needs, and hopefully, eventually cure cancer completely. It's pretty cool."

This year's donation of $20,000 is double the group's previous fundraising total.

Schelling says he hopes to do this for many years to come.
