Two Siouxland's Most Wanted fugitives arrested after hour-long pursuit through Siouxland

The fugitives, Gabe Verbeski and Chase Riessen, were featured on Siouxland's Most wanted the past three weeks for escaping from the Residential Treatment Facility in Sioux City.

Two of Siouxland's Most Wanted are behind bars after a wild police chase through the metro area and Le Mars.

The fugitives, Gabe Verbeski and Chase Riessen, were featured on Siouxland's Most wanted the past three weeks for escaping from the Residential Treatment Facility in Sioux City.

Riessen is even accused of assaulting two staff members.

US Marshals say the chase began about 4:00 p.m. when a Sergeant Bluff officer tried to stop a pickup being driven by Verbeski.

At one point they say Verbeski was driving the wrong way on Hamilton Boulevard.

They stopped the chase because of safety concerns.

A short time later the pickup was spotted speeding in Le Mars.

It was eventually abandoned in a yard and both men ran off, but were quickly captured.

Both are in the Plymouth County jail and will be facing new charges as well.

A third person, 27-year-old Holly Vanderhoef, was also arrested. She has been charged with possession and intent to deliver.

Charges against Verbeski and Riessen have not been released.
