Ugly Christmas sweater fundraiser for patients' medical equipment
Mercy Medical Center is holding a festive fundraiser to help patients pay for medical equipment in their homes.
Mercy's Home Care division is selling ugly Christmas sweaters to raise money for a fund that would help home care patients buy things like bath benches and railings if they don't have insurance or are on a fixed income.
Beavers said, "What this means for our patients is those patients who might be on the line. Are they safe at home? Do they have everything they need at home? Sometimes they don't and they have no way of getting it and so our goal and hope is to be able to supply them with those things that they need so they are able to live in their own home safely and independently."
There are only 170 sweaters up for sale. Sweaters are priced between 20 and 25 dollars.
The ugly sweater fundraiser is being held at Mercy Medical Center in the South Lobby by Kaleidoscope Gift Shop.
The dates and times for the fundraiser are:
November 13th & 14th from 11 AM to 3 PM,
November 15th from 11 AM to 1 PM,
and December 4th & 5th from 11 AM to 3 PM.
