LE MARS, Ia -- Folks in Le Mars are also dealing with major flooding after yesterday's storms.
The flood stage for the Floyd River is 20 feet high and as of earlier this afternoon, the river was measured a little over 26 feet. We spoke to one resident who's husband called her this afternoon when the water began to rise.
Treasa Weidauer said, "Our house has not ever been flooded. It has come up to our driveway but it was a lot less water than this the last time it flooded so we're hoping that if we get any more rain, it's going to be pretty detrimental. This is our second time our field got flooded this summer but nothing like this."
Weidauer says she may try using a nearby trail to access her home from the other side of the river.
