Woodbury County Courthouse unveils plans for 100th Anniversary celebration

SIOUX CITY, Ia — Woodbury County is putting the finishing touches on plans to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the courthouse.

Celebrations will begin on May 1st, with events marking the courthouse's role in Woodbury County's justice system.

The five-day long celebration will include lunchtime seminars about the building's history and presentations about the courthouse's history and future.

"We are excited for the educational opportunities for the community, for students out there and just for our citizens to know that this is their courthouse, but it's really a representative of the passion, history, and culture in this city and county," said Jeremy Taylor.
