Woodbury County judge grants injunction against two former Bandits opponents

A Woodbury County judge is granting an injunction against two former opponents of the Sioux City Bandits from playing in a new league this season.

In a lawsuit filed back in December, the Champions Indoor Football League requested the court block the Bloomington, Illinois Edge and the West Michigan Ironmen from moving from that league to the Indoor Football League for the 2018 season, saying both teams had already signed contracts to play in the CIF before making the move, contracts which include non-compete clauses.

In granting the injunction, Judge Patrick Tott also ruled the CIF was likely to win its case against the two other teams for breach of contract.
