FEATURED MVP: Carson Noecker

HARTINGTON, Neb. — Carson Noecker is wrapping up an outstanding high school career at Hartington Cedar Catholic high school. He was named the 2023 Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year for the state of Nebraska after winning his 4th state cross country title, and now he comes into track season as the 2 time defending 3200 meter state champ and defending 1600 meter state champ.

"It's a lot of pressure, but I just want to enjoy every bit of it," said Noecker. "Whatever happens, I really can't complain. I've been truly blessed by God and to have the people I have in my life. My team, my coaches, everyone has been there to support me."

With the conference meets now in the books, the South Dakota State commit looks to continue to improve himself and his teammates heading towards the state meets to close out his career as a Trojan.

"He makes you proud every meet, he's accomplished a lot not only on the track and in cross country, but as a person," said Cedar Catholic head track and field coach Chad Cattau. "He's a kid that our entire community looks up to."
